【Study Abroad】2026 Cross-Strait Youth Maker Competition
The Cross-Strait Youth Maker Competition, themed "Collective Wisdom for the Future," invites young creators to exchange ideas and wisdom through workshops, on-site fabrication, and project exhibitions. The event aims to help students from both sides of the strait broaden their horizons through mutual learning and deepen friendships through collaborative interaction.
Competition Divisions
- Feng Chia University (FCU) Division: Smart Innovation & Applications (By Invitation Only)
- Tongji University Division: Open Source Innovation
Event Schedule
- FCU Division: July 9 – July 12, 2026
- Tongji Division: July 13 – July 18, 2026
- Fuzhou Visit: July 18 – July 21, 2026
Note: Teams that advance to the FCU Division finals are eligible to participate in the exchange programs in Shanghai and Fuzhou.
Activity Fees
- Participant Expenses: Participants are responsible for round-trip transportation between Taiwan and Mainland China, meals, insurance, personal expenses, and travel document application fees.
- July 13 – July 18: Tongji University will cover local accommodation, transportation, and visit-related expenses during the event.
- July 18 – July 21: Fuzhou University will cover most local accommodation, transportation, and visit-related expenses. Participants are required to pay an additional exchange fee of NT$1,200.

Eligibility & Team Formation
(Specific requirements vary by competition track)
- Eligibility: Currently enrolled students and recent graduates of Feng Chia University.
- Team Format:
- FCU Division: 2–4 members per team.
- Tongji Division: 2–5 members per team.
Awards
First, Second, and Third Prizes will be awarded by the organizers of each division. Prize amounts are currently being finalized.
Registration
Please complete the online form with your team information by May 30, 2026. Each team only needs to submit one application, and logging in with a Feng Chia O365 account is required.
